R1 Wing vs. Sarona Wing

Hi guys,

My R1 rear wing recently broke, and I am looking for a replacement. The only place I could find an OEM R1 wing was through Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda, and even with the discount he quoted me $450. I found this Sarona wing for $150, which looks identical to the R1 wing.

MZ-028-TW Sarona Paintable Wings - Trunk Wing for 93-97 Mazda RX7 at Andy's Auto Sport

Does anyone have experience with this wing? Is it easy to install? Durable?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you don't want to buy a new oem one, troll the for sale section and one will pop up

Yea you can find a used one pretty easily I bet but either way, the R1 wing wasn't very functional so I think that replica one would be just fine.

I found my R1 wing for sale on the forum and grabbed it for like $100 shipped. I polished it up and rubbed out the scratches and got the mounting kit from malloy mazda for like $45. Mine was already painted VR as well. Again, just troll the for sale section

Wow! While I am known for keeping things OEM whenever possible, I have to admit that Sarona wing looks like a great alternative!
