Question R1/R2 Rear Spoiler Install Help

I just recently purchased a stock rear spoiler for my FD off someone on the forum. I searched the forum and only came up with 1 or 2 threads about the install but nothing pertains to my question.

I downloaded the template found on the Scuderia website, cut, and lined up the template to the wing. None of the holes line up and I mean inches off. Can somebody post some insight on this. Am I doing something wrong? Is there another way to install this thing. If I could avoid it, I don't want to pay a hundred bucks to install it. Anybody have any ideas?

Also nothing came with the wing. No hardware or anything like that. I went to home depot and found 8 stainless bolts that fit the holes. But after reading the directions, it seems like there are brackets of some kind. There is a firm foam piece that is on the bottom and that is it.

Here is the parts list

For some reason, I am thinking that the brackets they are talking about are under the foam inserts that are already on the bottom of the wing. I could be wrong though.

The brackets go on the inner four holes and the hold 4 plastic clips. Those plastic clips go through holes into the rear deck and snap into place. If I remember correctly the four outer holes have bolts which go through the rear deck and are held in place by nuts on the other side. If you're missing the plastic clips and other hardware I suggest you call Ray at Malloy Mazda and he should be able to find those parts.

AFAIK, *all* R1s came with a wing. Was yours removed, and were the holes filled and painted over by a previous owner?
