R1 and R2 were just for differn't years, 93 was for the R1, and R2 was in 95, i have never found or seen a R2 edition Rx7, driven a R1, the most common thing you can tell is the suede like seats, R1s usually came without the bose stereo, came with a front lip and rear spoiler, stiffer suspension, and the red strut tower brace,R1s and R2s also came with dual oil coolers.

It jus TT: Just to let you know. You can post multiple questions in a single post (since I observed you posting at least 2 different occassions w/ relatively simple questions).

Check this site:
http://rx7.voodoobox.net/infofaq/bguide3g/bguide3g.html

Basically, in stock form, they all have the same engine, turbos, power, etc...

The differences aside from the R1/R2's having an extra oil cooler, strut bar and stiffer suspension were mainly just cosmetic.

With the car being almost 10 years old, it really doesn't matter whether you get a Base, Touring, PEP, PEG, R1 or R2. You just get whatever you can find and afford.
