R1/R2 dual oil cooler lines - is this touch point normal?

Long story short, I recently procured the last oil line I needed to complete my OEM R1/R2 dual oil cooler mod on my FD, and I noticed that the oil line that goes from the front cover to the passenger side oil pipe hard line makes contact with the IC/battery mount cross beam. See picture for reference, it's a pretty tight fit, and the beam is pressing lightly on the extra insulation band that the cooler line has in that area. Is this a normal thing on the R1/R2 FDs? Seems like a bad design that can wear away at the line over time - I'm tempted to pull the beam out and grind out a bit of material between the spots I marked in the picture with silver sharpie pen so that there is no more contact with the hose. It wouldn't take much material removal to have zero contact, maybe 1/8" worth. Good idea or a waste of time?

when you tightened that banjo, did you hold it downward? as you tighten it, it will angle upwards and do that. loosen the banjo, push the line downward and hold it, tighten the banjo......

Yeah, I did that - pushing down on line while I torqued it down. Also there's that metal tab on the new banjo line that is designed so the banjo can only be installed one way, which orients & supports the fitting relative to the front cover when you torque it down. I guess it's possible that the tab part of my line may be a bit deformed, preventing me from getting more of a downward angle on it? Though this is a brand new line from Ray Crowe, not some Ebay Chinese knock-off part, so I don't think that's the problem.

How new are your motor mounts?

The motor mounts are aftermarket Banzai racing mounts put in by the PO maybe a year before I got the car. They look to be in great shape and gave me zero troubles when I yanked out the motor to install a oil pan brace and put it back in. I downloaded the install instructions for these from Banzai, and it looks like I got them in correctly - they advise you to torque each one evenly, to the point where the red polyurethane bushing just starts to swell a bit.

I suppose I should re-look at the motor mounts though - too tight and it will tend to tilt the front side of the engine up, which could cause the tight oil line fitment.

It's been a while since I had the original lines on my car but I do seem to remember that touching slightly. I don't think it's a huge concern.

I would probably put some door edge guard or something on the metal there, some sort of soft split thing that can glue to the edge of the metal. That would be all it would need and I think that would be full overkill at that point.

I installed my a few years back. I do recall it took a bit of wiggling the lines to get them in so there is contact but I have not had any issues with it.
