R1 oil coolers

R1 oil coolers
I was wondering if the R1 dual type oil coolers hose has the metal bend in it where it comes off the motor ? My touring model presently has a hose coming off the motor banjo fitting to my single oil cooler with no metal pipe in i at the beginning. The parts schematic show a metal tube bent in the direction of the passenger side for the dual setup, just wanted to be sure. IF so this would be good to cut and weld a 3/8" coupling onto to begin the -10an hose routing I plan to make to convert the auto tranny cooler to a dual setup.

The R1 has 1 different line coming from the motor. The short hose you have that comes from the front cover is longer on the R1.
The best plan to convert your auto tranny cooler to an R1 setup is to buy the lines that cross the front of the car that are metal w/rubber used or new. I think you will also need the two threaded fittings that fit on the back of the oil cooler. Anyone with a ruined oil cooler should be able to give those up pretty cheaply.
Your parts list:
1. The oil cooler line off the front cover of an R1 car.
2. The metal lines that run across the front of the car.
3. The threaded fittings in the back of the oil cooler.
That should be all you need. I wouldn't bother with the -10an hoses/fittings, the factory already made a good hose set for dual coolers, you don't need to reinvent the wheel.

Is the thread in a Auto tranny cooler and the thread in a stock oil cooler the same ?
If they are then I can just get two stock oil cooler fittings and remove the tranny cooler nipples and thread the new ones in. But IF they are not then the -10an line setup is the way I may go.

Here's a pic with the auto cooler fittings (top) and the stock oil cooler fitting:
here are all the thread sizes:
18mm x 1.5 - engine and oil pedestal
20mm x 1.5 - auto trans cooler
22mm x 1.5 - stock oil cooler and rubber hoses
