that threaded line is coming off the rear iron? can you post another picture of it?

Yeah that's the tranny cooler line, pretty sure. The return line you need is R1/R2 specific.
Buy the oil cooler return line from mazda, or keep hanging around FS section and msg all the usual suspects.
It's kindof pricey if you don't have a mazdaspeed account(~$400? iirc)
