"quieting the exhaust" question

I am planning on taking my resonated mid-pipe out and cutting the flanges off then rewelding them to an edlebrock muffler to quiet down the droning of my non-sequential set-up. Question is will it noticeably affect boost reponse because the air has to fill the widened area of muffler.. Thanks for your comments. Garret

IMO, "filling the expanded area" past the turbos is not a factor. However, if you create more restriction, then there may be less power, boost, and slower boost response.
