Which is Quieter? A'PEXi N1, A'PEXi GT, or HKS Hiper

Which of these is the quietest? The N1 and the Hiper have the biggest tip, but the GT has a bigger piping... Also, how ridiculously loud are these with downpipe and midpipe? Thanks!

I saw a site rating these before. I have the A'pexi GT-Spec and it was rated at 4 (1-10, 10 being loudest) with the silencer in. It was rated 9 with it out. I have a midpipe and downpipe, and it's loud as hell with the silencer out.

Alright, so then the GT-Spec is out, I don't want to run a silencer... Which is louder, the N1 or the Hiper?

the n1 and the hks hiper are almost identical designs. They probably sound close to the same. GT spec sounds good

They are probably very similar like mentioned above, but neither is even close to quiet or mellow. You can pretty much bet that any canister style exhaust is going to be loud, this is almost always the case.

The N1 has a bigger tip than the GT? I believe the tip on both is 115mm. The n1 is rated just a hair quieter than the GT. The GT is going to be freeir flowing. All 3 of these exhuasts will be quite loud with a midpipe, I have a resonated midpipe with magnaflow muffler and the Apex GT spec exhaust, when I first got it all on it was fairly loud but its not as loud as a lot of other cars I have heard and I haven't been pulled over for it yet, its loud enough to be noticed and sound good but quiet enough not to get pulled over (all though my neighbor would get mad when i warmed my car up in the morning for it being so loud). If you don't have a midpipe, get a resonated one, if you have one already jsut go to a muffler shop and have them put a good flowing oval muffler in your midpipe, you will only lose 3-7HP at the most.

It's all a matter of personal opinion. Some like the loud exhuast, some don't. However, that does not make them junk...

Because it makes the exhaust loud doesnt make it junk, these are the freeiest flowing exhausts you can get, I had a lower priced Catback that came with my car when I bought it, and it was quiet, barely even louder when I put my midpipe on, but when I put my Apex GT spec exhaust on my boost came on a lot quicker and I made over 15 more HP on the dyno, Im sorry you don't like it being so loud, do you have a resonated midpipe that should tone things down, I hate to say it but louder does generally equate more power. I hated how my exhaust looked when I first put it on, big huge can, I thought everyone would think I was another ricer, but it works and I love it now, even if I cant hear anything but the exhaust at WOT.

I have custom piping back to a dynomax muffler. The muffler is straight through but not a canister type. It sounds pretty decent but there is too much resonance for my taste. Im going to try a silencer I have for it and if Im still not happy I plan on putting in a glass pack I have. Thats what the LS1 guys do to get rid of that resonance.

The GT-spec is insanely loud, even at cruising speeds.

The only difference between them is GT spec is 3 3/4"catback N1 is 3"
GT is stainless, N1 is mild steel

Thats it!

Last I remember the GT Spec uses a totally different canister/muffler than the N1, they don't share anything (parts wise) and are very different IMO other than sharing a large single tip.

they are the same straight through design and sound the same (I have a friend with N1 and I have GT spec. Profomance wise you wount tell a dif. Looks the same when installed since you cant see the pipe beyond the can. The GT is a little more throaty because it is 3 3/4" which is huge. (overkill IMO but I love over kill)
