Question Quick question: How to remove the center caps?

I have stock FD3S touring wheels from a 94 and I'm curious as to how to remove the center caps without damaging them. I searched but the results were completely different threads.

If you take the wheel off, you can knock the center caps out from the back. Atleast that's how I got mine off. I had to take mine off because the silver paint was flaking off and I resprayed them.

They are held in place with "O" rings. These dry up and you can damage the cap trying to get it out. Dribble a little lubricant from the back around the cap to give the "O" ring something to slide on. Then use a wood handle and tap gently to coax it out. If you try to use a single hard blow you can easilly damage the caps.
