Quick question on Brake kit upgrade & brake problem
Some of the big brake kits ive seen have 4 piston calipers but with bigger rotors. If the rx7 already has 4 piston calipers then whats the advantage of getting these upgrades besides the rotors.
Also ive upgraded the lines to stainless steel, the brake pads with hawk hp. and the rotors to slotted and I still have to press half way on the pedal in order for the brakes to start applying pressure and what was wondering what could cause this

a good question.
the primary brake system problem for the FD is lack of front rotor mass. i can run a stock FD out of brakes in one lap. the caliper is fine. some, recognizing this, have simply modded the front caliper by splitting it apart and adding a spacer so it will fit over a 1.1 inch rotor. if it is properly executed w a larger diameter thicker rotor along w the right pads the FD brake problem will be mostly solved. you will need to swap the RacingBrake rear rotors in to regain front/rear balance.
as to soft pedal.... you probably need to bleed the system better. really really stomp on the pedal before cracking the bleed screw.
