Quick Question about stock airbox reassembe!!!

Quick Question about stock airbox reassembe!!!

My radiator hose decided to blow up today. I had been losing coolant and it was not until I replaced the coolant caps that the pressure got too great and caused the hose to spew coolant everywhere. I removed the stock airbox to install a new hose. Here is my question:

I am standing in front of the car facing the airbox. To the right there is a SINGLE hose that is bent and pointing down. I went to pull the hose off the airbox and it came completely off. I cannot find a location to reinstall the other end. By looking it appears that this hose is JUST a release and serves no other purpose. I want to just verify this.

Anyone know?

It goes to nowhere as far as I could tell when I installed my Apexi intake.

I had the same situation this past weekend... it does in fact go nowhere... except below the airbox...

That HOSE to NOWERE is the exhaust for the AIRPUMP bypass air - it muffles the Infamous MOOING Sound.

I knew your question and the answer just from reading the title to the post. hehe....everyone has that question. I did not know it muffles the mooing sound though, very interesting.

Well I figured since it went NOWERE I did not really need it - As soon as I removed it My car started MOOING! I did figure out I only needed the first part of the hose (The elbow piece ) and not the lower part and metal coupler (that may have been unique to my car) to silence the MOOING
