quick question about ps delete

i think i know the answer already but i wanted to confirm...

when removing the power steering the lazy way (removing components and looping lines) is it ok to let rack run dry or does there need to be some sort of lubricating element in there? if so, is filling it with ps fluid and looping the lines fine or would packing it with grease be better.....

Thats a good question. And how hard is it so steer the car without PS? I am thinking about relocating my alternator to where the PS pump sits.

Well, i deleted ps in my other and looped the lines and i can drive it fine. Its a little bit of effort to turn the wheel at low speeds but no harder than lifting a small child.

Its been looped for ~5 years with no issues at all. I have no idea if there is any fluid in it.
