Quick question about oil catch cans???

Quick question about oil catch cans???
I have 2 input on top. should i leave one vented so air can excapse or should i cap it off. it came with a cap but i dont know what i should do???

leave it open so it can vent air. i dont know why but my firend how has a skyline did it.
