quick question about the GReddy elbow
k i have searched through all the elbow threads but didnt happen to see the answer to my question.
After all the reading i have decided to plumb the aws hose back into the elbow via a nipple im going to install. ANyone who has done this, can you give me the correct size i should use. Im going to thread it in but im just unsure of what exact nipple i should use.
I appreciate any and all help, thanks
also i know that you can find the nipples in brass like everywhere, but has anyone come across them in silver? (at a local hardware store, i can only remember ACE carrying the brass ones)

ya know i actually never went through with the fitting. I ended up just throwing a filter on the AWS hose and it turned out alright. No problems besides a very brief rough ilde on a cold start (hunts for like 10 secs). THeres also the oil residue on the filter itself thats seeping through. Def still worth to just throw the filter and not bother with the nipple install.

I plumbed my back in....I think he read the same thing I did on Maxcooper website when he was installing his M2 intercooler.
He mentioned he vented it but noticed oil leak issues and ended up replumbing it back in and it seemed to solve the problem.

I did plan to re-plumb it, but I moved to a warmer climate and didn't have the stalling problem anymore, so I just left it capped for years (and have since removed the AWS stuff entirely). I recommend first just capping by removing the hose and putting a rubber cap and worm clamp on the metal nipple the hose attaches to (on the back of the UIM, near the firewall -- just follow the hose). And then only if you have stalling issues (or emissions concerns -- AWS is really there to warm up the pre-cat quickly) would I bother to re-plumb it.
