Quick question about front bar. core support?

Is the front bar the that has the hood latch on it the radiator core support? If so can you buy a new one from some where and have it welded on? What should I do if I am missing this bar?

IIRC it is about $150 from the dealer new. Have a good shop put it in, it'll require a fair amount of teardown to replace.

See pics here:

The part your interested in http://community.webshots.com/photo/...72690110HinNkC

The top piece is VERY flimsy, the lower piece is pretty solid and I think they are sold separately. Buy both together (pre-assembled) and have it put on, it'll turn out better that way.

No. The front bumper, radiator, airbox, etc need to come out. The motor came out of that car because it also needed a frame rail which is a much more involved repair.

The core support is spot welded to the front face of the frame rails. Should be a very straight forward repair for any bodyshop.
