quick question about drag races today

So in my rear deck i have about 50 to 75 lbs of audio equipt (sub, amp, box). I know the obvious, less weight = faster. But i was wondering with it being only 75 lbs, would it be more of an advantage to have the extra weight over the rear tires to hook up better or would it be better to remove them to have less weight.

That kind of thing only helps in snow or rain. Dry pavement traction is about adhesion, and actually the coefficient of friction goes down with increasing contact force. So really while you get more total grip, the car needs even more grip to accelerate than before. And all the while your engine needs to provide more torque the whole rest of the run.
