Quick Question

have a koyo radiator, one (not dual) oil cooler, stock hoses, aluminum ast, 20/50 oil.

My Driving the temps go from 89-91celcius

Running hard however ive seen it jump to 96celcius in the daytime hot miami weather. (these temps was before i put the dual oil coolers & turbo blanket).

Im thinking that my car is running too hot and was wondering if anything i can do to keep my FD running cooler!

Those temps are fine.

If you really want to lower temps, try searching: "+cooling +mod" without quotes.

at what temp in celcius should i really cool down when i see the numbers.

i guess be cautious when i see it reach 99C

Coolant doesn't boil when it reaches 100c (212f). I think 105c would be where I consider more cooling.

FWIW, that's just a bit hotter than what I saw this last summer with dual stock oil coolers, Fluidyne, miata thermoswitch, and running 50/50 coolant/distilled water.

You mentioned a "turbo blanket"....I also have a wrapped DP and the "Fan Mod", but I'm not sure if that makes any difference in coolant temps, just underhood temp.

In stock form, the car wouldn't even be turning on the fans until 105 C. If you start seeing it rise over 110 C, then start wondering what's going on.

Ah, yes I forgot I have a Miata thermoswitch installed. Before that, a normal maximum temp was about 220f.
