does anyone know how turns out the idle screw should be set at? thanks for the help.

are you wanting to adjust your idle? here is a site:

I don't think there is some magic number of turns that will work for all cars. Make sure that all vacuum lines, etc. are in good shape before you start playing with stuff. there is usually something else that will cause idle problems, adjusting it might only be hiding the real problem.
