Quick Jack pinch weld adaptor fitting problem

Hi all! I just bought a quick jack 7000 as well as the pinch weld adaptor block that they have, but after testing, it looks like the pinch weld adaptor will hit the screws and the frame before the pinch weld hits the bottom of the groove in the adaptor.. I saw a few other posts on the quick jack, but none of them seems to have to problem? Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong? Is it okay to just use the life blocks that they have directly? Is there a better life point?

side question, in the third picture, there is a little bit of rust on the left, is that concerning? Should I take care of it as soon as possible?

Thank you!

Front of the car hitting the screw if center the block on the pinch weld

Rear of the car hitting the plastic thingy and the frame

Gap between block and pinch weld, both sides of the block hitting the frame already

It’s a unibody car. You don’t have a frame in the traditional sense. I feel you’re over-thinking this. You’re fine with those blocks. Where do you think the pinch-welds transfer the weight to? And I don’t see anything in that 3rd photo except maybe some surface rust. Clean it and give it a spritz.
Relax. It’s pretty damn stout steel in that area..

The groove looks a little shallow to me. Ideally the pinch weld should share the load with the side sill so they don’t get bent/crushed. Don’t worry about the screw.

I use the small blocks quick jack provides and haven’t had any issues. The blocks have some give and don’t cause any damage to the pinch welds.

My setup is a 5000EXT, it just fits between the tires and takes careful placement to avoid the lift contacting the front tires when extended. Your 7000 is about the same length IIRC.

The blocks will compress a little under the weight of the car and distribute the load accordingly. You shouldn’t have an issue.
