questions about ebay intake kits...

anyone had a ebay intake kit? i think they are fomr a company called bomz or something... i have one i didn't pay for...it has cone filters that look name like the name brand ones but the pipes are just polished cheap metal....they have no nipples off them for any hoses..... is this anything worth putting on my fd?

i got one, but i just use the piping for my apexi intake. you only get one filter, the rx7 takes two.

^same that i had with my twin setup. you wont get any CELs because of hard pipes and filters...put it on, looks a lot better...

those are probably from the blow off valves.... I just put a piece of screan over both of them to keep out debre.

If you get that intake, spen a couple bucks on two good filters. I've heard scary stories about eBay filters falling apart and pieces of them getting sucked into the intake mani.

50 bucks for two k&ns is money well spent, IMO.

what do i do t=with those hoses though? i believe there are 3 going to the intake box

you could always get some 90 degree fittings from home depot and put them in the intake and mount the hoses to it.

Two of the hoses are for the Charge Control & Charge Relief valves (B.O.V. technically). The other one is for the airpump. You can put a filter on the one for the airpump and just leave the other two open. If you leave those two open, you will be able to hear the B.O.V.

Another route is to use the pipe, ditch the filters and keep the stock airbox, and do the Cheap Bastard intake modification.

it will use the one wider line and the smaller vaccuum line that is running to the stock bov...but there will still be 2 bigger hoses left...i'm sure when i look at i i can figure it out...i'm picking up the car today

i don't know a ton about the fd.....but i've been researching for over a month now.. plus i'm a certified mechanic....so once i get it and dig into it i'll figure it out... i'm always looking for advice and open to ideas...
