I was reading a thread and they were talking about Resources car with the t51rkai and they said the incredible amount of turbo noise/wistle was caused by modification to the intake track.. here is the exact quote..

if you run a single turbo setup without a air filter or intake piping , with a lot of boost , it sound really really awesome
