Question regarding stock/BNR turbos
Some people have pushed these turbos pretty hard, and by that I mean 15-20+lbs. Now the stock unit delivered a boost pattern of 10-8-10. Many people run the stock units at 12-10-12.
The reason I ask is my twins did 13.2 on the primary. So with some rounding my pattern looked like 13-10-15. With some tweaking I should be able to easily get the 12-10-12 pattern mentioned above.
My question is when the turbos are pushed hard what does the boost pattern look like? In the example of 20lbs does it look like 20-18-20? Or does the primary just not have enough wind to get that high?
If so is that fair to say that BNR's wont get that high either? Would a BNR look like 13-10-20?
Just wondering because I ordered some BNRs. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I run BNR sequential just under 15 psi (at least til I add AI). The primary easily hits 14/15 before transition. Interesting question. . .I'm not sure what the sequential pattern would look like at 20 psi? In the lower gears, I would think you might hit redline before you could do all the transitioning!

My primary would only boost up to about 13 or 14 depending on the temperature, then it would kick up to 18-21 again depending on the temperature and the boost setting (those were my original turbos with 100k miles). Not sure how much it dropped down if any at transition, no lower than 12 probably but don't remember. And it would only boost that high in 4th gear, and just a little lower in the lower gears, like 18 in 3rd, 17 in 2nd and 16 in 1st (because the rpms went up so fast). I think my original turbos started smoking (probably from a combination of high miles and being pushed so hard), I wanted to go non sequential so I bought a set of full non seq. twins with lower miles and they worked good (didn't smoke) and then got damaged when the motor blew so they are getting replaced now.
