Now i know there have been countless AWS threads but from what i saw nuthing reagarded my question which is:

When the car starts up in Park the AWS comes on and it revs to 3k and i know that really bad so i always shift it right into Drive and it sort of jerks a little. Is that bad to do? Untill i get around to removing the AWS will what im doing harm the car?

Just tap the gas and it will go down to normal idle.

Don't shift into gear w/ the aws running the engine @ 3k rpm - tap the accel about 1/4 -1/3 down and relase to drop the revs.

If you eliminate the AWS, your ISC will simply take over it's job.

I still don't understand why AWS is so hated !? It's warming your motor to the temp at which the seals start to seal the chambers, and not leak like a sive... Also the turbos come up to temp which is good.... so why is AWS bad again.... ?
Other than getting weird looks from people, as to why you're revving your motor, which you're not...

Strange behavoir noted with my FD, when I don't let the AWS do it's warm-up. The car will smoke (exhaust) for about 3 minutes till it gets up in temp.

When I let the AWS warm the engine, the car does not smoke.?? Go figure!
