question.. pilot bearing install, depth
where is the depth measured from? a? or b? FSM (H-19) recommends 11.5-12.3mm deep but doesn't specify point of reference.

If that pic is of your motor, it's installed more than enough. Install the dust seal, and make sure there's room behind the pilot bearing to get at it with the puller later on down the road.
