Question for people with Apexi EL boost

Hello (again)

Just trying to work out where the best place to cut the hoses and place the three-way and the boost sensor for the boost gauge, i.e.

The manual suggests three locations, but they make as much sence to me as an ashtray on a motorbike

Can someone who has it installed tell me best place to attach the sensor / three-way and I'd love a piccy if possible (don't ask for much hehe)

much thanks in advance!

There is a nipple on your Upper Intake Manifold that is designed just for *that* function. It's on the passenger side of it.

thanks mate.. so it's that black hose coming out of the inlet manifold... I guess someone sensible in the middle of the hose is a good place for it?

See that nipple that is capped off that is to the left of the hose w/ the clamp? That is the one that you put your boost gauge vaccum line into. No need for a T-fitting or anything.

Ahh I see now so you literally have the 4mm hose and the sensor at the other end.. ahh that's nice and easy, didn't fancy cutting into hoses... manual is a bit confusing hehe

Super!

Fitted the gauge in now, hard wired it all so you can't see anything, hooked it up to the command link and its working! Thing that took the most time was scrubbing all this oil based cleaner stuff i'd put on the dash to make it look nice for a car show, double sided tape wouldn't stick to it

Now all I've gotta do is link that sensor up, fix that in place and work out where the hell I can feed the sensor harness from the engine to the cockpit

Any ideas there?

(I'll stop pestering soon) hehe

thanks again mate!
