Damn, I find it a little scary that people don't know where redline is!

On a manual car, the redline is 8k rpm. There is a red dash at 7500, probably to warn you to shift.

There is no point in going past redline on a close to stock car. If you have a large streetport and/or large turbo (or you're INSANE), rev it up!

with a good side and a big turbo you'll make power no problem to 10k... with a good bridge you can make power to 12k...

Unless your a sissy

good for you.. as long as it's tunned you'll be fine... just don't take it to the rev/fuel cut.. that = BAD

so take it to 8k every now and then... if you baby it you'll carbon lock it.. if you've only been running it up to 3.5k your engines probably full of carbon already....

lol.. pull the engine apart and get a wire brush.. then over haul it...

If you start beating on it every now and then you might be able to blow some of it out, but don't do any really long or repeated railings as this can cause hot spots in engines with lots of carbon in them and this can cause predetonation killing the engine..

Negative, Ghostrider .

Redline on an FD 5spd is 8000 rpm....I don't care what it is on a slushbox; I think 7k .

Redline in 1st is ~40mph, 2nd~70, 3rd~100, 4th~140, 5th.....
