Arrow Difference on Auto 1/4mile time vs. Stick?

Just Curious how much the stock auto vs. stock manual actually varied in 1/4 mile times.

I've read at least 2 or 3 threads regarding this in the past. Should be able to find that info here in this forum.

There was only one magazine that ever did a test and their result was 14.5 for the 1/4 (with 6.0 0-60) versus ~13.9avg for a 5spd.

how the hell did they run a 13.9 stock with a 5 speed?
I had a intake, dp, catback, pettit ecu, and mild streetport last time I went and I got a 13.5
I was running on stock boost but still all those mods add hp without increasing the boost.
All my mods only got me .4 less than stock!?
Does anyone know what their 60 foot time was with that 13.9 stock time? Mine was pretty bad I guess but not horrible 2.204 on street tires.

My VERY FIRST pass down the strip in my BONE STOCK 93 R1 with a passenger I ran a 13.945 @ 99.xx mph. Here is where everyone will insert the 13.49 run that Nick R ran. I'm sure that happened, but it was one car, it is NOT typical.

Last time I went I had a DP, CB and Efini y-pipe. My best run was 13.59 @ 102.85 mph. Not really impressive but OK.

My '60 times were in the 2.0x range for those runs. Knock your '60 time down to the same and you should be hitting 13.2-.3 range.

Anyway the auto runs 14.5's like everyone says. Driving an auto in traffic kicks *** IMHO, it sucks when your trying to leave a light quickly, they are really laggy.
