question about removing the airpump?

Hi guys!
some of you guys removed the airpump.
Does it give you any advantages?
It may sound stupid, but I just wnat to know.

ya loose some weight, as well as its not needed if you run a midpipe. Ditching the airpump with a stock cat is believed to clog your main cat
