Failed my Non-Seq project, What did I miss

From FD3boost

"The poor mans non sequential.

Step 1.
Remove the turbo control actuator (TCA) and plug the lines with some bolts and zip ties.
Step 2.
Wire the TCA flapper door open (towards the front of the car)
Step3.
"T" the blow off and charge relief valve lvacum lines together, plug the remaining vacum line that runs from the charge relief valve to the lower intake manifold
Step4.
Remove the two vacum lines to the charge control valve and plug the remaining vacum lines.
(one from the y pipe to the charge control valve & one from the LIM to the charge control valve)
Step5.
Remove the black plastic pressure tank & plug the remaining vacum lines to the precontrol solinoid.
You should have a total of seven vacum lines plugged
Two off the LIM, one off the "Y" pipe, two off the hardpipe and two from the TCA (turbo control actuator)

-Dave"

I did this all exactly.
Now I am only getting around 3-6.5 psi. And after 5600 rpm, the car really feels exhasted. Honestly feels like it runs out of steam, stops pulling as hard but boost slowly creeps up. Yes, I did fully wire the TCA door open.

I have seen someone say the pre-control door needs wiring too, where is that and is it true?

Thanks,
Raj

I wired the TCA towards the front bumper.

Did not disconnect the PreControl actuator...do I have too?

you should also, disconnect the pre-controller solenoid and just use the wastegate solenoid.

Solenoid disconnected. And the WG is using a Profec B.

Wire the actuator towards front or back bumper?

Symptoms for deciding non-seq.

TCA or CCA not working. Checked both and they seem fine. So I disconnected the 'side' silicone line off the TCA and did my normal 'blow into it' test. Result is that I can hear my blow coming from the rats nest.

Question......The TCA solenoid, when pressurized or vacuumed will not stop the flow? Car is off, and I can blow into the hose and suck air from it. Is a good solenoid able to do this?

Many questions above, please help me answer them.

Question.....I have the old, old, original Pettit Catback (Borla) they sold in '94. It is linked to the stock cat, which is definatly not 3". So, from here, can I buy a generic MP (most likely 3") and attach it to the Borla? Most midpipes I am finding don't even have a diameter listed, so I am assuming they are all 3". Anyone have a MP on their stock CB?

Got it......

Clogged Cat. I did what Amel said and disconnected my Pre-Spool solenoid, didn't touch the precontrol actuator, and cleaned out my cat....viola. Non-Seq.
The cat inspection was on the troubleshooting check list, but not the last item, and I got it. A piece of honeycomb dislodged and would be thrown to block almost all flow.

Now, I have to ask myself....was it always the cat? Could my bad secondary boost have been caused by the clogged cat? I did get my 14psi on primary, just nothing on secondary after 4500.

Boy, this non-seq thing made my interior LOUD! Almost unbearable. The little bit of luxury I had left with my silent interior is now gone......don't know if I will stay or go back and replace my, I guess, faulty TCA solenoid.

Just some closure for the future 'search: non seq' users.

This is true, this most likely is your problem.

it's the same thing as unpluging the pre-controller soleonid. Only this way it's less work.
