question about the pettit intake

I got everything on and when i read the last step it says to put on the plastic cover over the stock intercooler opening. Well Im thinking Im missing this part being that i bought it from someone else and i think that maybe they forgot to give it to me. But My question is, does the intake kit come with a plastic cover for the stock intercooler? or is that somehting i have to get seperately?

i dont have a pettit intake but there is a stock cover that goes on top of the stock i/c. it has two bolts. you need to remove it to get to unbolt the stock i/c, stock air box, and get to the relays. hope this helps

I think he is referring to the plastic cover that Pettit provides to cover the hole in the IC duct left by the intake install.

You can use anything, metal or plastic, to cover the hole.
