Question about my Peter Farrell boost gauge

This PF boost gauge was in my car when I purchased it a couple years back and now the a-piller pod is starting to warp pretty badly. I think it is probablyy due to the holes in the a-piller not bieng drilled at the proper spacing and too much force pressing the ends together, not a manufacturing defect or anything. Here is my question though. I want to replace the pod but I dont know what with. I can get a replacment from PFS for $30, or I can get something different. Is there anything out there that would be a better choice? I only want a single pod, dont intend to get any more gauges for my FD. If I mount it somewhere other than the a-piller, what are my chances of finding a new a-piller interior piece for cheap? What size is the PF boost gauge? I havent even been able to find that anywhere either.
thanks

Tom the original versions warped from heat through the windshield. The current ones don't.

The simple answer is spend $30 & get the current PFS replacement - or just leave it alone. It's just cosmetic.

PFS likely just buys Autometer pods and resells 'em, though $30 bucks doesn't sound like much of a markup. Just get it, and be done w/ it.

The PFS is a standard 52 mm guage, (made for him by SPI), though it's fairly deep compared to some others.
