question about a DP and MP

I am having my car tuned without a midpipe, and without a downpipe. Its getting tuned with all the smog equipment including the air pump. Is it okay to put a downpipe on without having to re tune it, granted I don't punch the crap out of it? I finally got my car up to a tuning shop, and having a Power FC installed. streetport, rebuilt twins, exhaust and a filter is pretty much what the basic flow mods list looks like for my car. Im getting the car back on friday hopefully, and Im stoked on the fact that its finally gonna be running again. I should have changed out the DP at least when I had it up there to tune it, but unfortunately I had no access to one. Poor planning on my part. I am concerned about the heat that the pre-cat creates, and I want to get DP in there with the least headache. Again, I really should have taken care of it when I had the chance to, but I didn't, so im here asking u guys.

If your car is tuned for all that other stuff, adding the dp should not be a problem. If you add the mp too I'd be real careful of boost spike.

Get real familiar with your PFC and get datalogit and wideband so you can start tuning.

Yeah I remember your thread. Sucks bro, at least you are in Texas now close to those gotham boys.

I'm gonna be in the market real soon for a PFC so I need to see who would be a good tuner...

Datalogic. Heard very little about that but I haven't researched it yet so I know close to nothing. Other than it allows you to tune via a portable PC.

Gotta do a search now...

ack. artguy ur scaring me, because I got it tuned at XS. Hopefully since I tuned it for reliability and asked them not to try and max the power out, they just made it run safely. *crosses fingers* thanks for the suggestions.

...yeah all the money he paid and they wanted him to buy one of their front mounts before they would finish the job. With all the money ArtGuy paid XS, they should have given hime one for free!
