Question about the Apexi S-AFC

Would you guys use this as the bases for controlling your fuel and air intake? Do you recommend this, if you are running an aftermarket ECU?

I think the S-AFC does not work well with the stock ECU, but I have heard of people trying to use it with a chipped ECU to gain some adjustability. Personally, I think it would be better to just get a single adjustable unit, like a PowerFC or Haltech. With these two options, you not only get adjustability, but the car runs much smoother and you can control boost and ignition, too.

As Max indicated, its only 'good' for situations that require fine tuning, and only to turn down fuel, not increase it.

Example, a reprogrammed stock ecu with 1300cc secondaries - maybe.

I'd just go ahead and spend the money on a PFC. Skip the Commander if you are really short on funds, and just borrow it from one of us locals when you first go and have your car tuned.
