Question about alternator and polishing

I have finished polishing my UIM and I am about to take on the alternator. I had a few questions before i go to work

1) I am in the process of installing my single turbo and all of the goodies that go with it. Will my old alternator with almost 100,000 miles on it be able to handle the new power load? (gauges,power fc, boost controller, etc...)

2) Should I have my old alternator rebuilt before polishing it or buy a new one then polish it?

I think that is all any other tips would be greatly appreciated!

I'd definitely have yours rebuilt and polished, because if I remember correctly, new ones from Mazda are like $400.00, and rebuilt ones are close to $200. I had mine rebuilt and polished for under $200.

My car has almost 80K on it, and I was having problems with the battery going dead if it wasn't started daily, so I had the alternator done, and replaced the battery.

www.gothamracing.com rebuilt and polished my alternator, and did a great job.
