Question about 3rd Gen RX7

I recently found a used RX7 through a friend of a guy he knows. The guy wants a good price on the car and the car has ~65k miles. I was wondering if the car will be able to pass inspection. I noticed that rotary engines tend to somewhat smoke and smell from the constant burning oil, if i'm not correct. Is that going to stop me from passing inspection in New Jersey? Thanks in advance!

If the car still has the emissions components and they are working properly, it will pass emissions testing.

Rotary engines do NOT to smoke and smell from the constantly burning oil....Jeez. The car should easily pass smog, assuming there's a main cat, an airpump, and everything's working correctly. It most certainly shouldn't smoke or smell.
