question about a 3rd gen middle plate and a 2nd gen middle plate

i am wondering if anyone would know if the 3rd gen and a 2nd gen middle plate is the same. i no the port is smaller on the 2nd gen but can it be ported out to work for the third gen thanks alot

The FC center iron is where the motor mount attaches, not the end iron like the FD. There's 3 large holes on the passenger side where the motor mount sandwiches on top of the oil pan. Trying to get an oil pan to properly seal up there would be a royal chore.

I wouldn't bother trying to use an FC iron. FD irons shouldn't be too pricey for a good used one.
