question on the 20b motor I want to buy one and install

I was wondering if some one that delt with a 20b motor that they had installed in their 3g rx7. I was wondering what I need to make a complete motor assembly with no problems. I need the motor and then I was wondering if I need to get a new tranny for the 20b motor or can my rx7 stock tranny hold the new motor. also do I need any new wireing harness and whatever else stuff I need. cause something happened to my stock motor. I was driving it and then it died in the high way and then I tried to start it and then it started but this time it made a big nocking noise. then I forced it home and then it stopped knocking and then for like 2 minitues it came back and then my speed slowed down to the point where my car died again. Im pretty sure it might have been the rotors. plus I had it rebuilt and about 2000 miles in it then this had happened anyone can tell me what happened to my stock mortor and give me info about me wanting to install the 20b motor.

search button is your friend.

scroll down the engine swaps and you'll find a whole section dedicated to 20B swaps...

it is pretty pointless to just drop a 20B into a 3rd gen. REMEMBER this motor comes out of a lux. sedan with a auto tranny. why go thru the trouble of fabrication and have just a 20B.

you will need plenty of things custom made to do the swap.

your question, "will I need a new harness"...makes me think you have no idea how engines work.

I suggest you go talk to your boy who rebuilt your 13B and do some reading about the engine you have or sell your car.

Actually its about 15k to get a 20b installed, tuned and running perfectly with 420 horses. KD Rotary is doing one right now!!
