Question Ques. on air pump

Ok I know this has been beaten to the ground but anyway, I need to know the advantages and disadvantages of removing the air pump. I have Greddy SMIC, Apexi Intake, Downpipe, Catback, with stock twins, and stock CAT. Im thinking about getting a midpipe in the future. Let me know what you think.

advantage, 3 pounds weight savings and 0.005 HP not lost through clutched pulley

disadvantages, car idles like crap, stinks, and wont pass emissions. To eliminate the air pump with your mods is completely pointless.

But once you get a midpipe and a way to tweak idle fuel maps, you might as well remove it. The car won't smell any worse and you won't flunk emissions any worse. It seems to improve air circulation in the engine bay just by freeing up the space. But of course, that's purely speculation; my car runs better after I wash it too.

The other advantage not mentioned is... no more mooing!
