Sup man. Thanks! I got the tripod from Flyrx7. Quality stuff but sorta' pricey...but I don't regret buying it.

Hi,

Yup..original CYM. On the dash, have 93,100 (something) miles but it's a rebuilt engine. I never got exact figures from previous owner but I believe there was about 2,000 miles on this rebuilt engine. I will confirm sometime I see him again. When we did the compression check last year...it scored out perfect 100, 98, 100. Turbo's kick in great. Has minor issues and other common FD stuff. Other than that, it's a healthy CYM/FD...so far! Heh.

Yah, the Defi emblem is nice to me since it fits color scheme interior-wise and it's subtle. Plus, I got the emblem directly from Defi of Japan for being listed on their web site. Haha.

Very nice car, very nice car.

I disagree with the tire selection but very very nice car. Also make a heatsheild! Will help your temps so much.

Hi Amp,

Offense not taking but I'm just curious with your reasoning. I'm not BS-ing you or anyone. But it's original CYM. I've seen a couple CYM around w/ painted rear black tail ends (under bumper). Sure, some may take the extra step or personal preference (like mine) and paint extra parts for any color but please...simply stating that my bottom side rails are oversprayed automatically does not make my FD instantly non-OEM CYM.

just curious to find out what mazda registry maintains paint history.. and who provides official paperwork for it.. can you post em..
just merely pointing out that you may have been duped by the seller in making you think its oem..
understood.. may have been a haste remark on my part.. it could have been preference to paint the rails yellow...
that'd be a first though imho.. and im seriously doubtin that as its not a visible part.. but then again....

Hey,

I understand your reasoning now...wanted to know. Paperwork (original recipts/etc). Here's the link for all Mazda cars current and past registry...just register with VIN and all that good stuff and it'll report back with info including color:

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/disp...ersHome.action

BTW, at one point..the rails were in better shape and evenly shaped making the painted rails nicer...now of course it's more worn everytime it's work/jack time under the car.

Seems pretty legit to me. I couldn't find any field on that site that could be used to edit the color of the car. Also using that site, I have finally verified that my FD is an R2, which makes me rethink a repaint of my own.

Edit: I should also point out that my rails have overspray on them too, and I am positive without a doubt that I have OEM paint.

maybe to further clarify..
definition of repaint maybe being used loosely here..
the site certainly provides confirmation of your original color..
but what it doesnt provide is your paint history.. as in.. if its been repainted...

Thanks for everone's comments...I hope to post some more pics this upcoming summer when I get some new stuff in the works...mainly new wheels (maybe black SP1 or Rozza) and engine components including cooling mods...gotta' keep her cool (and myself) since it gets crazy hot here in Florida during the summer! Luckily, picked up daily driver last summer so didn't drive the FD that much. Last year's temps was ridicous so guys...I may have to bite the bullet and install my AC.
