Q for those who went from open to closed intake

question for those who had an open style intake and switched to enclosed style intake...how much did you notice your air temp go down?

thanks

here is a good comparison
http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/intake.html

he found max temp at idle around the air filters with the m2 was 137, with pettit it was 162. it really is as common sense as it seems.

I am not personally convinced that that test means squat. Who cares what your temps are at idle? Air temps at speed are going to matter, and so does flow capability. There may be a bit of a tradeoff there, but at speed and with a decent source for cool air I can't imagine there would be much difference. Of course I'm too lazy to actually go check the article in question.
