Exclamation Putting on aftermarket exhaust

When I got my car it already had a dp mp and cb. Then I had to put all of the stock stuff on the get it to pass emisssions. Somewhere in that mess while I was driving it a vacuum line popped off and something else got messed up and my FD was running terribly. So I took it to my local shop because they have a pretty good rotary mechanic. He got my car running perfect, idling perfect and everything. But afterward, they told me "just don't touch anything on your car." Insinuating that I know nothing about rotary engines and the 3rd gen. Understandable because the thing was messed up for reasons beyond my control. Then I told them that I have that exhaust system to put on and I asked them what I should do. They said I should bring it to them. Is there anything they could have done to set back my fuel (i have an xs engineering remapped ecu for the exhaust and all of my mods) to mess it up? Is there anything I can really hurt by putting my exhaust on myself? I really want to put it on without paying a huge labor charge, and I also don't want that restrictive exhaust staying on there. Also, I took off my greddy pulleys because I had to put my air pump back on, will that bother anything timing wise? I wont be able to get to the pulleys for another few weeks because the greddy alternator pulley is damaged. Please help out guys, I would like to drive my lovely POS with the exhaust soon.

No it wont mess anything up if ur ECU is already mapped out for those mods. Just make sure that when you pull the cat that you dont yank the hose from the air pump...that's about the only thing that goes back there into the engine area.

screw them. soundsl like the hose to the MAP sensor popped off. The MAP sensor is on the firewall on the drivers side. small, 1 inch by 1 inch - what you can do is start the car, pull the line off the sensor, and it'll run like ****. if the results are the same as before, you know what was originally wrong with it. That line has popped off on many people and scared many people (including myself). it's not a big deal.

As for the exhaust - you already took it off once, just put it back on and save your money -

good luck
