Purpose of ground strap on cat?
I read that it is very important that the ground strap connected to the cat should be in good condition. I was wondering, does anybody know what purpose the ground strap serves in terms of reduced emissions.

It just grounds the cat against static electrical charges, and engine noise.
Vetts ground the exhaust for the same reason.
Doesn't have any effect on emmissions.
