Pulled codes

I started my rebuild last night for the first time. It was shooting a constant flame out the tail pipe. Im yet to figure that one out today. But I pulled some codes off it this morning...25, 30, 33. Thats the pressure regulator control solenoid valve, split air bypass solenoid valve, and the port air bypass solenoid valve. Does anybody know where these are, and what their purpose is?

25 adds fuel pressure on starts, etc. Read up in the FSM in the F section.

30 and 33, ACV related, do you have a ACV?

Buy an RX7 "factory" repair manual. I'm not trying to be a smart *** but speaking from experience, the money spent on it will pay off the first five minutes you read it. If you do have one, go to the diagnostic section and follow the diagnostics tree. Good luck!

Smile

triple check your vacuum routing, check your wiring/plug-ins that the connections are good, check the solenoids that they are functioning. You have to start at one area of concern and complete the check on everything in that area, don't give up. I've been there myself, ready to give up and I kept at it. Usually it was my error for the screwup. If everything was functional before the rebuild chances are there is something misinstalled/misrouted or not plugged in correctly. Check and tripple check! You must breathe, think and be one with the RX7....

my saga.. before & after
