Thumbs up Props to Steve@Gothamracing

Hi, here's a little info about me...I'm not new to this forum eventhough I just registered, I've had a '93 Rx7 back in '96 but sold it a few years back dued to reliability issues, and I've got a '94 Supra with T66 since then, anyways I just bought a '94 Rx7 about 3 days ago and made it back to Dallas last night the car hasn't been running right since I got it back, so I called Steve up this morning and see if he could look at the car for me. I drove to his shop this morning and spent all day there, I'm sure most of you that've met him already know this he's a very nice guy and easy to work with, he made me feel more like his friend not customer lol, I've met quite a few more Rx7 guys there they're all cool folks the only one I could remember the name on top of my head is Nick with T60-1 Rx7(awesome car) he's on this forum but I forgot his screen name. Anyways I've been to many Rx7/Supra high perfomance shops I won't name them here, but Gotham Racing gets my vote hands down, I highly recomended this shop to anyone.

Steve was a great help when I bought my car. I had no idea what I was getting into, but he and I exchanged emails and phone calls late at night when I got a little worried about the car.

steve is by-far the growingest name in the rotary (esp. 3rd gen) community. his workmanship and curteous customer relations manner is grade A. . . . +. haha. i can see that shop as being a big name in the NEAR future. . . and i mean near. its already got a name on the forum, a damn good driver (steve), and the tuning capabilities are demanded across the entire CONUS.

i must say. . . BRAVO, STEVE!!!! . . . AS WELL AS TO THE REST OF THE GOTHAM TEAM MEMBERS. YOU GUYS ARE DEFINATELY #1 IN MY BOOK, AS WELL AS OTHERS. ROCK-ON!!!!

I was wondering if you wandered around on here...

Thanks for the compliments on the car Bordin. My turbo is actually a T61, but its hard to say in person without everyone thinking that you're saying T60-1 and also b/c so many people run the 60-1. Both are great turbos, but i chose the T61 b/c it is a little larger and a T-series turbo which makes upgrading a little bit easier/cheaper. Not many people are running a T61 compressor on an rx7. From what i have seen, it is more popular with the supras.

Here are a comparison of the dimensions and also to your T66 compressor on your supra.

MODEL....TRIM INDUCER MAJOR INLET SIZE MAP

TO4.........60-1 59.03 76.20 101.60 T4-60-1

T-SERIES T-61 60.96 89.92 101.60 T-61
T-SERIES T-66 65.53 91.03 101.60 T-66

Y'all should see Bordin's car...the previous owner went all j-spec on it, it's pretty cool.

I recommended Benzalee to take his new chassis down to Gotham to have them swap everything out of his currently wrecked rex. My impression of Gotham is based on conversations with Rich (GoodfellasFD3s) on this forum who happens to be part owner. Then I got a chance to talk to Steve and he's totally cool...Without hesitation, I would gladly leave my car with them (and will pretty soon). Nice to have guys who actually own 3rd gens working on your car....Not to mention you car is kept inside all the time and is locked up at night with an alarm system...That was the selling point for me

My father just recently took my FD down to Gotham Racing and left it there, a 10 hour drive (I must say he is one hell of a dad). They are fixing some things and tuning the car. There have been some issues that have come up during the time the car was down...but I have never been clueless as to what Steve and the others are doing to it. He always gives me the heads up with what is wrong and lets me decide to move on or not. I think this is a very important part of the business and Steve does it just right. I'm very very hesitant about letting others drive the FD, but with Steve I felt ok with letting him drive and keep it in his shop. Good job and I pick her up on the 16th...can't wait
