Question propper way to remove windshield wiper motor??

well there must be a trick to removing it cause im having no luck. ive removed every bolt i can find, twisted it every way i could think of, pulled on it, swore at it, hit it with a hammer (basically everything a gibbon monkey would do short of throwing feces at it) and still nothing. any advice or special tool i need? thanks, heath

I have removed mine and made new brushes for it , the front one . Took out the mounting bolts and pulled the shaft and lever out of the hole far enough to get the nut off the shaft and remove the splined lever .Try lifting the wiper arms and rotate them to get the lever out of the hole . Mark the lever to shaft position for ease of replacement .

Uh....I guess I didn't find it difficult at all when I took mine out. I did this to make getting the engine harness out of the firewall when I pulled my engine.
The only problem I had was getting the proper 'timing' back on the wipers as I had failed to mark the correct spline.

You DO have ALL the nuts off...right? That heat shield on the brake unit covers them up pretty good...
