Progress of installing RUN RACING lights w/ stock bumper

Well I thought I would post this since I have yet to see a set of Run Racing lights paired up with the stock FD bumper. Getting this far into the install I can understand why, aftermarket bumpers are fiberglass and alot easier to cut and mold compared to the stock plastic one. As you can see I still need to get the pods painted to match but thought I would share what I had so far. The other pod fits I just have to do a little more final sanding to make it look nice. Enjoy.

well i used to have the rotary extreme lights so i know whats all involved with making these fit. They are alot more work than the RE kits, thats for sure. more of the original headlight frame had to be cut out. how much was it??? well that depends, i got them used from Jason at JT Imports at a good price.

does it use Hella lights? If yes, are day legal for street use? If still yes, can you give me the part numbers of the Hella lights?

Your car looks great, Steve!

Maybe you should fly down here and install mine on my car! The damn things have been sitting in my closet for a year now. Glad to know the instructions helped you out.

Unique. I like. Are you going to paint the housings to match? Do they have covers?

Lookin good! I actually think I would like those better left black how they are rather than painting them to match... That's just my opinion though.

thanks for all the positive feedback guys, I really appreciate it. I have to give a special thanks to Fred(Hashiriya) for providing me with the original instructions, oh and if you want me to install yours just buy the airline ticket, lol. In regards to your question jdhuegel1 I do plan on getting them painted real soon to match the car. The lights are not Hella lights, sorry Speedworks, cant help ya there. This kit does sit quite a bit lower than normal sleek light kits which I think will be better for overall lighting but I have yet to test that theory, I will keep you all updated.

They dont look too bad black when you see them in person but I think painting them to match will make them look better, not so out of place.

I really like the cut bumper look, seems like a much better solution than leaving it uncut.

Kinda looks like a Ferrari also.

i think they look great in black. look at the pic open in a window so you can see the front of your car and the pic of the back of your car under your name at the same time. the yellow car with the black housing in front and back. looks very factory and in yellow i think would look like something aftermarket.

I also prefer black vs. body-colored.

I like the look of the previous Ferrari vs. this one with body-colored headlight surrounds.
