Profec S setting

The manuel says to tune the gain switch first, by adjusting until boost spike, then turn back a notch. Well i never got a boost spike, so i have my gain turned all the way, and my low and high buttons set to get 10 lbs on low and 14 lbs on high.

Just wondering if anyone else has their gain turned all the way up ?

I have
Apexi intake
Full exhaust
Large SMIC
Greddy Profec S
HKS FCON

On the original Profec-B (which the Type-S is based off of), the gain was turned from full Mild to full Sharp (clockwise). The goal is to turn the gain as far to Sharp as you can without getting unstable boost. Unless they reversed the action of the Gain control on the Type-S, you will want to turn it up as far as possible without getting unstable boost.

With a cat in the exhaust, I ran the Gain about 1/2-way up. With a midpipe in the exhaust, I have the Gain turned almost to full Sharp.
