Profec B spec II help
Ok, so I picked up my FD today, and I was just cruising in 5th gear when I started to get on it a little. My boost controller started to flash red and I let off and took a quick look at it and it was around 75ish. I tried again to see if it did it again but didn't. Tried again and did it again. My boost gauge read getting close to about 10psi.
Now I do NOT want any kind of problems with my engine, so I was wondering what I should do about this? I want to set basically a "day" and a "night" mode since the nights here are starting to get colder. I just want to be safe, don't need anything that will blow my engine.
Any help would be great.

This should get you a good 10-8-10 pattern. And like I said Brian, if you need help getting this set up, give me a call or stop by sometime and I'll help you out.
Also if you do a search on "profec" in the title of threads in the 3rd gen section it will bring up a lot of threads about other peoples experiences and advice setting up the controller.

all that sounds like is the warning function. the boost controller doesnt know if u were to boost to high, there is a setting for it to flash at a certain psi.
but it wouldnt be bad either to reset it and tune it yourself. its pretty simple, just do a search online and download the instructions.

I bought the car from BlueRex and he said he set it pretty conservative which is basically what I'd like to have because I don't want to have it come close to spiking and blowing my engine. From what I've read, you want to set it around 9.5-8-9.5 pattern because of small spikes.
I'm sort of scared of messing with it because I don't want to risk screwing up my engine or creating problems.
