Profec B spec 1 strange problem
Hi,
This is the second spec 1 profec B I have installed and it is experiensing an usual problem. While on the low boost setting, the car runs a perfect 10-8-10, no problem. However when switched to the high boost setting calibrated for 10 lbs on the first turbo, it will spike and hold at 13 lbs after the transition triggering the boost/fuel cut. The dip switches are in the traditional down/up/down/up as per the profec in my car which performs flawlessly. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Even when the high setting is set below 10 before transition, it still spikes high after.
This car is equipped with stock ecu, intake, downpipe, stock cat, RB cat back, and stock sequentials.
Thanks,
Andrew Wojteczko

How do you have the profec solenoid installed? Is it just on the wastegate line, or are the WG and PC lines Y'ed together? Have you tried changing the dip switches to the "overboost" configuration?

The hi-boost setting by design runs 3 psi higher when set to the same position as the lo-boost ****. Unless something is wrong with the setup, I would suspect the controller.
