Product Review: Redline Shift/Ebrake boots
Hey everyone, this is my review of the Redline Shift./Ebrake boot combo that I ordered. *pics on bottom*
My leather was getting crappy in my FD so I was looking for a shift/ Ebrake boots and stumbled upon one here for sale on Rx7club.com but the guy didnt want to show me a photo of it so I ended up going to the place he bought his.
Price: All said and done I paid $77.80 shipped to my door..from Poland.. They were doing a free shipping deal over Christmas time.
Combo : I ordered red/black carbon fiber look fabric for both.
First impression : The first thing I noticed is that the slots were not precut like the website had said, they said the holes would be the same spots as the oem to fit onto the shifter bracket, cutting the holes was no big deal, but I didn't forsee having to do it. I also noticed that the Ebrake was a few inches to long, no biggie though.
The red stitching was done nice, and was pretty strong.
Fitment : Like I said I had to cut the inserts in the shift boot, and for the Ebrake boot I had to cut a few stiches to actually fit it over the ebrake which was no big deal but they quoted these as OEM fits.
Overall I would rate it a 8 out of 10 stars due to some fitment issues.
I would also like to thank ZeroG for hooking me up with a cheap mint textured center console.
Here is a before shot.
And here is just after install, I still have some tweaking with the Ebrake boot....
